This artist’s film reinterprets the Billows Feeding Machine scene from Charlie Chaplin’s Modern Times (1936) — a satire on industrial labour in which a man is force-fed his lunch to maximise productivity. Reimagined through a feminist lens, the work juxtaposes this mechanised consumption with the often-unseen realities of female affective and reproductive labour. Blurring humour and critique, it reflects on the automation of the body, the commodification of care, and the lingering politics of consumption in the hyper-digital age.
